This book is such a beautiful depiction of a messy life. We have all been in places where we wondered why our stories have to be this and not that. Alia is a gifted writer and shares everything in the book. She understands that by sharing everything in her life will lead to the healing of many. I recommend this book to anyone who has felt as though their story doesn’t matter and that no one cares. She shows you how much it truly does matter. “When we wrestle with God, our faith is etched on our bones. It erases death and offers new life. ….God is no scarce deity; he is not holding out on us. Instead, he brings us to that place of weakness where we are disjointed and he strengthens our fragile and imperfect faith” (pg. 128).
